Aideen

Aideen was the wife of Oscar who was descended from Oisin son of Fionn mac Cumhaill. It is said that she was considered to be a foreigner when she came and became the wife of Oscar. She died of grief when her husband fell at the Battle of Gabhra. Aideen was then buried in Ben Edar in Howth, Co. Dublin, next to Oisin and an ogham stone was erected to commemorate her memory.
